Russia in Revolution, 1904-1924: The Role of the Individual in History
This is the controlled assessment (coursework) element of the GCSE History course. Students study the topic in depth and then have 8 hours in class to write a 2000 word essay answer to a question set by the exam board. Students are encouraged to use and evaluate a range of relevant historical evidence in order to formulate their own historical hypothesis.

Revision Guides: We use the OCR British Depth Study textbooks in class, and these are available for £5 second hand on Amazon (after the jump). This OCR revision guide (is on the pricey side) but is a comprehensive guide to the course with an interactive CD-rom. Alternatively, there is this guide - written in part by chief examiner Ben Walsh, or the CGP guides are always an engaging resource for revision.
